How does the film industry work?

• Pre-production this is the process of fixing some of the elements that are involved in a play, film or other performance e.g. getting all the actors together and writing the scripts. 

• Production this is the task that must be completed or executed during the film or shooting of the film or television e.g. setting up a scene and capture of a raw footage.

• Distribution this is the process of moving the film from the manufactured to it’s consumers by booking them for runs into the cinema or making the digital downloads.

In the scene, I will be talking about how age is being presented in this clip. I will be talking about the camera, sound, editing and mise-en-scene

There are many angles shots that were taken as at the start of the scene there was a long shot of them taking things into a van and then turned into a close up. There was many angle positions being shown, there was a pan which was slowly revealing the place where they are and it grabs the protagonist attention. Every time someone talks the angle movement changes, for example when the man was talking to the girl the camera angle would change and show you there faces whilst they are talking which is an over the shoulder shot, furthermore when talking to the girl there was a part where the camera was looking below him.

The editing where a range as they would cut from one scene to another and back to the other scene to get the protagonist a different range of views towards what is going to happen, which is going to happen which it is a Alta-way as it is showing you a range of scenes. There were quite some transitions as it would go from one place to another.

The age demonstrates that there are a range of ages in the clip, but there are more people with the age of 20 to 30 and there is only one girl which is the youngest in the clip. Which invites the audience to think that there is a range of ages in the clip. Nevertheless, the ages that are most likely to have been shown were older people because the scene looks like that it is base in a small village and are working on creating a building. The ladies are moving the stuff from one place to another but the men are building stuff, which shows that this is stereotypical because men were supposed to do the work and the ladies are meant to be doing less work.

There are sound effects that bare included which makes it more dramatic and adds tension to the clip, there is also music being played in the background whilst people are working which makes it more fun and gives it a different type of affect towards the clip. Also when they are talking the music goes quieter and it is the diegetic sound which creates this effect. When something happens there is always a sort of music in the background, for example; when the girl leaves the house there is sad music playing but furthermore when they are working the music is fun and enjoyable. The sound effects when she hits the car against another one, makes it more dramatic and it makes it look more realist, also it makes the protagonist wonder what Is going to happen and it gives it some tension until they arrive at the place where there was the accident, also there reaction when they come running over to see what has happened, they are all shocked and makes the clip have more tension.

The props that were used on the scene were good because they had used building equipment’s to connote that they are going to create something as they could be making a house or sometime of place for people to go. Furthermore, they used a teddy bear which portrays that they are young people. Everyone on the scene has their own way to be presented themselves, the ladies are wearing old fashion clothes which presents that this is something old that happened also the clothes that they used in the clip looks posh back in the days but not any more and the men are wearing farmer type of clothing which gives an affect that they are old fashion. The facial expressions were good because when the man said that she had to go to school them were all shocked about her lying, when they found out someone had said “Your sixteen” which portrays that they were shocked and didn't believe that it was true. The make-up is all connected with what they are wearing because it has to work with their clothes because wearing the make-up gives a different affect and their hairstyles where all different but they were all connected to the clothes and the scenes that were being shown and their hairstyles were antic and you don’t tend to see them type of hairstyles now so this type of clip must have been shown in the about the 90’s but now the hairstyle’s, the clothes and make-up has all changed. The lighting was well done because they had to get different angles and the lighting so that it would look good and make it have some sort of tension and grab the protagonist view.
